Do you ever find yourself in a situation where everyone around you is really excited, but you could not be less excited? It is Friday here in the office (well, I guess it's Friday everywhere else in the world too), and for some strange reason I am the only normal person on the first floor today. Everyone else must be cashing in vacation days. I can hear Winnie the Pooh, Francis the Farter, and my boss (I haven't discussed her yet...ugh) all chatting away and laughing and celebrating the fact that it's Friday. Am I jealous because I'm not involved in their loud uber-dork giggle-fest? No, definitely not. I wouldn't touch that group with a ten foot pole. So what is my problem?? I think it's the fact that it's Friday and it's sunny for the first time all week and I have NOTHING to do today, so for the second day in a row I will be forced to waste the next eight hours surfing the net. I wish this job was like the jobs I had in college...if I finished my work early, I could leave. So if you have any suggestions on websites I can visit today (please no sites that require sound...my computer isn't blessed with speakers) let me know!
I think I will go walk by the windows now. Maybe I can linger there long enough to get tan. Or escape.
